Elections Alberta – Where to vote

Albertans will head to the polls for the provincial election on April 16, 2019. New boundaries were drawn for the 2019 election, so you may not be voting in the same riding as you did in the 2015 provincial election. Click here for specific maps and voting information if you live in the following ridings:  Bonnyville – Cold Lake – St. Paul, Fort McMurray – Lac La Biche, Fort McMurray – Wood Buffalo, Maskwacis – Wetaskiwin or Peace River.

Who can vote?

To cast your ballot in the spring election you must be a Canadian citizen who lives in Alberta and is at least 18 years old.

You must be registered to vote. If you are already registered, your name will be included on the voter’s list on election day and you do not need to bring photo ID.

However, if you are not registered to vote, you will be required to provide photo ID and complete a declaration form to be added to the list of electors prior to receiving a ballot.

If you are not registered to vote, or have questions, click here or contact Elections Alberta at [email protected] or  phone at 1-877-422-8683.
