CCAB welcomes Fort McKay First Nation as a Patron Member

The Canadian Council for Aboriginal Business (CCAB) is welcoming Fort McKay First Nation (FMFN) to their distinguished group of Patron Members.  CCAB president and CEO JP Gladu stated, “Fort McKay First Nation is demonstrating to all Canadians and the world the benefits that partnerships and innovation are bringing to their business model. Taking an active ownership of their brand and by becoming a CCAB Patron member they are adding yet another pillar for business development and growth to their roster.”

FMFN Chief Boucher stated, “Fort McKay First Nation is honoured to become a Patron Member of the CCAB and feel fully confident that our success can only continue to grow through the programs, commitment and support of organizations we can proudly call our own, like CCAB.”

Chief Jim Boucher firmly believes that the practice and preservation of their traditional way of life can occur simultaneously alongside sustainable and responsible oil sands development.

Gladu also stated, “Prosperous Aboriginal communities such as FMFN which has grown into one of the most successful First Nation-owned business enterprises with annual revenues in excess of $700 million, is at the forefront of the new economic powerhouse that is Aboriginal business in Canada today.”

CCAB Patron Members are the innovators who make the commitment to bridging the gaps between Aboriginal owned businesses, community owned economic development corporations and business Canada.  “CCAB is honoured to welcome FMFN, and together we look forward to building a stronger business environment for the national Aboriginal community,” concluded Gladu.
