Electronic Files
Ads can be sent electronically in a variety of formats to achieve the best reproduction possible. Follow this guideline when sending electronic files:

PLATFORM - Macintosh
MEDIA – Zip Drive (Mac platform only formatted) 100 MB or CD
DOCUMENT in Quark XPress 4.0 or Adobe Illustrator 9.0 (previous versions
acceptable) Documents done in IBM versions are also acceptable.
FONTS (Mac) must be included and in folders/suitcases. Postscript Type 1 fonts only. We require both the printer font and the screen font. If fonts are not supplied, we will substitute with a similar font.
GRAPHIC FILES must be included (eps, tiff or jpeg). Photos from Adobe Photoshop must be at a minimum resolution of 200 dpi. Line Art (Bitmap) from Adobe Photoshop must be at a minimum resolution of 400 dpi.
SUPPLY hard copy sample for reference (fax or photocopy is acceptable).
 

*NOTE:
Any Pagemaker, Multi-Ad, Freehand or Corel Draw (PC or Mac) documents etc.
must be exported as an EPS file or Illustrator document. You must outline or path the type to avoid font substitution. If saving as a pdf file, make sure all graphics, photos and other placed art are not compressed prior to creating the pdf.

Outline all fonts prior to creating a pdf.
ADS SET IN MICROSOFT WORD ARE NOT COMPATIBLE WITH ANY PROGRAM WE CURRENTLY HAVE AND CAN ONLY BE TRANSLATED AS TEXT WHICH MEANS ALL FORMATTING WILL BE LOST. WE CAN TRANSLATE TEXT FILES FOR EDITORIAL AND AD FEATURE PURPOSES.
If a document is created solely in Adobe Photoshop (picture and/or text), it must be at a minimum resolution of 400 dpi.
